So I totally forgot that I wanted to post something funny this weekend. Went into cabela's sporting goods with the family. To my surprise when I first walk in is a warning safety sign and asks u to check you firearms for customer safety in the store. God bless America and please help the spirits of all the poor dead creatures in this place. (got the heeby jebbies)
So last night was Lady J's first artist gala at her school. I think it was so great that the school puts on all the kids are work like a art gallery showing. Even the infants and toddlers had something to show.
As you will see Jordan did a rendition of her bed. The teacher asked me what her bed really looked like- as if I would let her sleep in something like that. I think that is how jordan beds is in her dreams because when I look at this art work it represents the many twists and turns she make and manuevers in her sleep as if she is rotating around on something like this in her sleep. But thats just me.

Today was the first day I walked Jordan to school and then to work. Man o man the stroller is a hard thing to push up this particular hill. The stroller is about 20lbs, Jordan 30lbs and then my backpack on 10lb or more. Hmm I think I should drop immediate weight or 10lbs of my butt and thighs should fall of on the side walk soon before we ship out overseas. I can guarantee 2lbs or each thigh fell off on the way home tonight. haha! I hope so.
It is so nice being able to walk and just take in the scenery and not have to worry about parking, spending money and enjoying the day.
Also on another note I just want to comment on how many hippies and hipsters are actually in Seattle. Not that its a bad thing, I embrace my inner hippie and I love the fact there are fresh grocery stands/stores, Eco friendly appliances every where and even diesel and bio based fuel stations in the city
but I must admit I miss the steeliness (if that is a real word) of Chicago. The people here are extra friendly and I will say it throws me off a bit. When I first moved to Chicago i was a happy west coaster that waved and spoke to every one I saw. But as time went on I started to put on the Chicago "coldness" those of you from Chicago know what I am talking about. So coming back to Seattle with warm friendly faces, no coats and flippy floppies in rain and snow has thrown me for a loop. lol. I guess I have to return to my roots as some point. It really is good to be home, but I do miss my other home.

In case some of you are wondering- my fist day of work was great. I will not be talking about work here- but the adventures that take place before, during, and after us moving to Lux. The hijinks are more funny without including work stuff. Well my Omax coworkers made part of the hijinks everyday but that was different.
Anyway enjoy the day
So last night was my first night sleeping in the apartment. It was different to say the least. The building is quite and the scenery is peaceful. It was just weird since jordan spent the night at my parents- thanks to the holiday no first school day for her until tomorrow. I will be leaving the house soon and into the great beyond of my new job- Im sure it will be a great day. Tomorrow will be a little difficult for lady J. New schools make any kid nervous, but I think she will like it. Here goes nothing....
So I am trying to relax and get things together for moving to the apartment.Then my dad turns on 2012. He knows how I feel about these things and he is just filling my head with the great worldly theory of how the world richest and elite have tickets on a great boat or vessel of some sort of thing so when the world ends at the end of Dec 2012 the rest of us are doomed. lol Well I feel like we all got to go sometime soon. Why is he having me watch this when I got to travel across the world in a few months. He is a hot mess and wont turn it off!!!! Now I know I am gonna have nightmares tonight. Thanks a lot ole man :(
So I'm out and about downtown Seattle checking out my new temporary diggs and Jordan's new school. I'm so excited knowing Jordan will see the space needle everyday on her way to school plus a park for her to play at on the way home from school. And I will burning fat every day with this hilly walk ha!
So I'm watching my family play just dance and I am dying. First off my dad looked crazy dancing with sister and then Jordan was doing party rock anthem with my sister. My dad jumped up and started shuffling. The best part was that my dad shuffled out of his socks!! I bout passed out from laughing on the floor
