The Rise of Bike Ninjas

So I am a HUGE fan of ninjas- all kinds especially the assassin kind. But what I am not a fan of is what I like to dub as bike ninjas of seattle.  And yes they wear face masks like ninjas on cold days.

There is a unspoken rule in chicago. If you are walking down on the lake or downtown, you know the secret of pedestrian survival. When you are walking by the lake and there are huge amounts of runners and bikers and you hear "on your left" you know to get the hell out of the way or risk being run over or cussed out for being in the way. lol as funny as it sounds, you just know to get out of a bikers way or listen for the chains, or the yelling.

In seattle they are quiet and stealthy sneaky little .... - well I wont say but I dont like it. I am constantly looking over my shoulder to see if anyone is coming behind me. There have been times that I am tracking up the hill to take the dragon to school and I just feel a presence behind me and low and behold there is a silent ninja riding slowly behind me- frustrated because I wont get out of the way. No noise of chains change gears, or heavy breathing or anything, just silence.  Dude first of all dont stalk me, secondly yell " to your left or right!" Im pushing a jogging stroller on a busy street so you should dismount and walk with the crowd if you cant say excuse me or announce yourself. Yesterday this guy almost got closed lined for riding to close behind me. I was not sure what he was doing- just caught a glimpse of the sneaky bike ninja riding right on my heels and I was going to let him have it. Not just for me being a jerk- nahh. But because this is the same a$$hole that gets behind me every day. Thats ok, he's gonna learn soon enough and the Chicago side is gonna come out!!!
